Known by adding the name of a demon 'Tarkeshwar or Tadkeshwar' with Lord shiva 'Mahadev', Tarkeshwar Mahadev is a temple of deep faith and devotion to the Lord Shiva. As per the legends, Tarkasur was a demon who meditated and worshiped Lord Shiva at this location for a boon.
Located at some 1800 meters at a distance of 23 km from The Rock Heaven Resort, it is one of best place to visit around Lansdowne.
Bhulla Lake

Located at near to the Lansdowne city, Bhulla Lake is best place for kids, couples and old ones. Bhulla Lake has very neat and clean environment at the lap of nature. Tourists likes it as it is equally entertaining and peaceful with tranquil atmosphere.
Still not much populated, Bhulla Lake is a man-made artificial lake. 'Bhulla' in local garhwali language means 'Young Brother'. Bhulla Lake is dedidated to the young Garhwali youth of Garhwal Rifles who helped in construction of the lake.
Darwan Singh Museum

Darwan Singh Museum or Garhwali Musuem is a nicely decorated two storey museum having numerous details about the origin and achievements of the Garhwal Rifles of the Indian army. Visitors can see a wide collection of arms, old uniforms, rarest photographs of army generals, patriots in various wars, certificated and citations signed by the British royalty.
Inside the museum photography and kids below 10 years not allowed. Tourist can also visit a beautiful flower garden outside the museum which consists at least 10-12 varieties of rose. Nearby there is the Parade Ground and Garhwal Rifles War Memorial which is not open for general public.

Tip and Top is a perfect place to view some of the panoramic Garhwal hills with majestic Himalayan range at the backdrop. At 1700 mtrs height, visitors experiences the unmatched beauty of the Lansdowne. Still an uncrowded place in Lansdowne, Tip N Top attracts visitors to take some salubrious Himalayan air with a peaceful mind. There is a beautiful hut house provided by GMVN for night stay.
En-route to Tip N Top and surrounding area is full of pine and oak forest. One can also witness a uncounted number of hills top and long series of snow capped Himalayas from Tip N Top.
War Memorial Lansdowne

A major attraction and most visited place in Lansdowne, Garhwal Rifles War Memorial was founded to mark the heroicsof Garhwal Regiment. Tourists visit this War Memorial to know more about pre-independence history of Garwal Regiment and landmarks achieved by the regiment.
Nearby there is a Regimental Museum also known as Darwan Singh Museum which also attracts visitors. Both the Parade Ground and War Memorial are closed for general public. On the day oath taking ceremony of new recruits, this Parade Ground becomes very much patriotic in front of war memorial.
St. Jhon's Church

Located at the few step from the main road to Tip N Top, St John's Church is the only working Church in Lansdowne. After the 1947, St John's Church was kept abondoned for years. In 1951, it was eventually handed over to the Government of India in 1951. Re-erected in 1983, now daily prayers are being offered at St John Church.

Bhim Pakora can be reached after a 2km trek downhill on a rough path from Lansdowne and the place is quite surprising as there are two big stones one above the other in perfect balance and while the stone can be moved with a finger it never falls down.
